Gentle Yoga can help Queen Elizabeth II to recover from back pain

Queen Elizabeth, II has been forced to cancel an appearance in an investiture ceremony due to back pain.

The Queen was advised not to present more than 90 honors at Windsor Castle over concerns that it would be too physically demanding for her feet and could worsen the bad back condition of her.

According to the dailymail, "While the Queen’s condition is not serious, an investiture involved an hour of standing and she still has a sore back.”

"In 2006, she was laid up for several weeks with chronic sciatica".

Usually, sciatica only affects one side of the lower body, and the pain often radiates from the lower back all the way through the back down through the leg. Depending on where the sciatic nerve is affected, the pain may also radiate to the foot  or toes.

Our back bears almost all of our body weight and any extra weight we carry. If our back is not healthy we cannot be healthy.  Backache can be avoided or at least minimised in the first place if our back is strong and flexible.

Gentle yoga are perfect solutions for a healthy back and to recover from back pain, faster.

Regular practice of gentle yoga not only strengthen the back muscles but also bring flexibility to our back and help in reducing stress.

However some Yoga posture such as sitting forward bend should be avoided in case of Sciatica pain.

A strong and flexible back creates the foundation for a healthy lifestyle.
